Welcome to Meadows Collaborative Health & Consulting

Where women’s health is supported with compassion, clarity, and connection.

Here healing is grounded in the wisdom of the mountains and the strength of community. Rooted in the heart of Appalachia, we honor the resilience, interconnectedness, and deep listening that have long sustained our region.

Here, your health journey is not walked alone. We create space for women navigating complex and chronic health concerns to feel seen, supported, and truly heard. Through personalized nurse-led care, collaborative relationships, and integrative approaches, we walk beside you—just like neighbors always have in these hills.

In this meadow, every part of your story matters. Welcome home.

What You Need—And Deserve—in Your Health Journey

You may be here because you've been told “everything looks normal,” yet your body says otherwise. You might be managing a chronic condition like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or fighting for a diagnosis, navigating perimenopause, facing hormonal chaos, or feeling unheard in traditional healthcare settings.

If You’re Seeking:

  • Clear guidance through confusing symptoms

  • A whole-person approach that goes beyond lab results

  • A nurse who listens, educates, and walks beside you

  • Time, care, and practical tools to support your body, mind, and spirit

Meadows Collaborative Health is for you. We see the whole you—not just your symptoms or test results.

Why Work With Me?

My name is Shannon Meadows Allison, and I bring more than credentials—I bring lived experience, deep listening, empowered storytelling, and a mission rooted in the mountains of Appalachia.

  • I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in business, nonprofit leadership, and women's health. I’m also a certified HeartMath practitioner, supporting nervous system regulation and stress resilience.

  • My own health journey—navigating complex, misunderstood conditions—taught me what it means to feel dismissed or unseen in traditional care. That lived experience drives my mission to advocate, educate, and walk alongside others on similar paths.

  • I believe in empowering you through education—so you can understand your body, trust your intuition, and advocate for the care you need and deserve.

  • My work blends evidence-based guidance, collaborative relationships, and personalized nurse-led support, because your story is too unique for a one-size-fits-all approach.

This is more than symptom management—it’s about creating a collaborative relationship where you feel safe, validated, and empowered to take the next step forward.

Our Approach- Meadow Isn’t Just a Metaphor

In nature, meadows are diverse ecosystems where every organism contributes to balance and resilience. That’s how we see healthcare: as a space where collaboration, diversity, and individualized care help you thrive.

We combine:

  • Nurse navigation for chronic and complex conditions

  • Hormonal health support from puberty to perimenopause and beyond

  • HeartMath sessions for nervous system regulation and resilience

  • Integrative consults that center your story and your goals

This is care that honors your intuition, your identity, and your whole health journey.

  • Women’s Health- puberty to menopause

  • Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

  • Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders

  • Complex. Simple. Diagnosed or Not.

Nurse Navigation

HeartMath is a science-based method that uses simple techniques and biofeedback to help you regulate stress, improve emotional balance, and support nervous system health. It’s especially helpful for those managing chronic pain, illness, or overwhelm. Click the HeartMath link above for more details.

I partner with healthcare providers, organizations, and community leaders to develop sustainable, purpose-driven solutions in women’s health, rural access, and system transformation. With a background in business and nonprofit leadership, I also offer guidance on supporting patients with complex conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. My work includes policy advocacy at the community, state, federal, and global levels—because real change begins with bold, collaborative action.

About Shannon

I'm Shannon Meadows Allison, a registered nurse, certified HeartMath® practitioner, and founder of Meadows Collaborative Health & Consulting. I created this practice from the intersection of personal experience, professional calling, and a deep belief in women’s ability to thrive when supported.

After navigating my own complex health journey—and witnessing the gaps in care for women with chronic conditions—I felt called to become a nurse and future women’s health nurse practitioner. Before nursing, I spent over a decade in business, marketing, supply chain management, and nonprofit leadership. I now bring that same strategic insight and heart-centered purpose to help women and mission-driven organizations navigate complex systems with clarity and confidence.

At Meadows Collaborative, I offer nurse navigation services designed to support women with complex health issues—including those living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and other often-misunderstood chronic conditions. My approach is rooted in compassion, advocacy, and partnership—because I know firsthand how powerful it is to feel seen, heard, and supported on your health journey.

I’m especially passionate about improving healthcare access in rural Appalachia and collaborating to remove barriers that prevent people from receiving the care they deserve. Through the consulting arm of Meadows Collaborative, I welcome the opportunity to partner with nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community organizations who are working to create meaningful, systems-level change. Whether it’s strategic planning, program development, or collaborative problem-solving, I bring a unique blend of clinical insight and organizational leadership to the table. I also remain committed to advocacy at the regional, state, and federal levels—working to amplify the voices of rural communities, advance equity in women’s health, and promote policy solutions that reflect the real needs of those we serve.

My goal is simple: to walk with you, not ahead of you—offering support, education, and tools to help you root into your own wisdom, health, and purpose.
